Terms and Conditions

Strangers and Pilgrims Publishing, LLC partners with independent authors who wish to publish under our imprint using a traditional publishing model. We provide comprehensive support throughout the entire process—including professional editing, cover design, and production—until the author formally approves the final work for publication.

Royalty Structure

This structure is significantly more favorable to authors than the industry standard, where traditional publishers typically retain 70–80% of royalties.

Content Standards

All titles published under the Strangers and Pilgrims Publishing imprint adhere to the following guidelines:

Manuscripts that do not meet these standards will be declined.

Production & AI Use

We utilize AI tools selectively to assist with cover design and light editing. All AI-generated elements require the author’s explicit approval. Authors are strongly advised to retain an original copy of their manuscript at all times. After editing, the revised manuscript is returned to the author for review and approval of all changes.

Human illustrators are available for children’s books and covers when preferred. Human editors can also be engaged when necessary. Our approach prioritizes cost efficiency so that authors retain a higher share of profits.

Distribution, Printing & Author Copies

Strangers and Pilgrims Publishing works with established distributors and printers. Authors should expect an average of approximately three months before royalties from a new title begin to appear. Most sales are fulfilled via print-on-demand; limited inventory may be ordered when warranted.

Additional Rights

Strangers and Pilgrims Publishing retains the right to translate and/or publish additional editions of any title (including second editions, series editions, or collected volumes). Authors receive the same royalty percentages outlined above for all such editions.
